• If there are urine deposits, the urine salt crystals will eventually cause dry rot in the foundation fibers.  This causes brittle fibers that will split and leave a hole in your rug.  The longer that urine remains in the rug, the more permanent urine staining will become.
• It is amazing how much dry soil we remove from rugs that haven’t been cleaned in a long time!  Everything settles to the lowest level (the floor), it makes sense that a neglected rug will be collecting allergens like dust mites, dander, pollens, etc.  So if you have allergies, it’s important to get your area rug cleaned!
