Every once in a while here at Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care in Prescott AZ, we get a HIGHLY SOILED AREA RUG in our shop that just makes us shake your head.
HOW COULD A RUG GET THIS DIRTY?
Why didn’t they have the rug cleaned years before?
Whatever the reasons, I must admit this rug had me nervous! Would we be able to clean it to the satisfaction of our client’s expectation? Is there any hope for this rug?
Remember these are delicate wool fibers, which means as certified cleaners, we will only use wool fiber safe cleaning products on a wool rug. It’s not like we can whip out the bleach bottle or 409 cleaner with off the charts super high ph. Not that we would ever even think of doing that!
Take a look at the before photos. If I didn’t know better, I would have guessed this was sitting on a mechanics garage floor for the past 5 years. Actually the truth is this came from a home of a senior citizen. Often seniors use walkers and wheelchairs and believe me when I say these helpful items can be very tough on rug fibers.
