Hi folks!  Ruthie here with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care in Prescott AZ!  I wanted to share this short video of one of our favorite things as professional rug washers – DIRTY RUGS!  Bringing us a dirty rug and telling us to get it clean is the best thing ever!  Seeing an old, dirty rug with years of built-up dry soil in the fibers get clean is such a great feeling.

Dry soil is very abrasive and can do some very serious damage to rug fibers over time.  Dry soil is kind of like sand paper on a microscopic level and, as we walk on our rugs, that dry soil grinds away at your rug’s delicate fibers.

Arizona Oriental works HARD to ensure our client’s rugs get as clean as clean can be!

The most thorough cleaning that Persian, Oriental, and even Synthetic rugs can get is by cleaning it in a wash pit like our Ruggie Hector is doing in this video.  The wash pit allows us to thoroughly shampoo, rinse, and flush the soil right out of the rug.  Nothing beats a good old-fashioned rug bath!

Of course, this is just one of the many processes of our very thorough cleaning process for area rugs, but we love every second of it!  I think the only thing that beats cleaning dirty rugs is seeing the look on our client’s face when they see their treasured area rug’s beautiful colors brought back to life.
