I’m Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care in Prescott AZ and today I wanted to share these before & after photos of a lovely little rug that our client had us do repairs on. This rug was inherited from our client’s grandmother and, as it was her favorite rug, it holds a lot of sentimental value for him. However, over the years, the rug’s fringe had unraveled and there was also quite a bit of damage along the side cords of the rug, as you can see in these photos.
Our repair shop fixed this rug up nicely and gave it a whole new life by trimming down the sides and removing the fringe. We then used a machine to stitch a new side cord around all four edges of the rug. This made the rug look neat and also kept the original design of the rug even. By having these repairs done, Grandma’s favorite area rug got a new life and will be sure to last our client many more years to come!
