I love New Year resolutions, don’t you? It gives us all of us another chance to make our world right.   Whether it be the promise to ourselves to get healthy in 2017 or to stop procrastinating, life is new in January for those of us willing to shake off our “bad” habits of 2016.

• * Rugs with years and years of dry soil will suffer fiber damage as the gritty, sandpaper like dry soil scratches against rug fibers, doing permanent, irreversible damage. (sometimes referred to uglying out)

• * If there are urine deposits, you can bet that the urine salt crystals will eventually cause dry rot of the foundation fibers, causing brittle fibers that will split, leaving a hole in your rug. Remember also the longer the urine remains in the rug, the more permanent the urine stain becomes.

• * Got Allergies? It is absolutely amazing how much dry soil we remove from rugs that haven’t been cleaned in a long time!  Since everything settles to the lowest level (the floor) it make sense that the neglected rug has been collecting allergens such as dust mites, dander, pollens, etc.

• * Soil covers up vibrant colors. Many clients are astonished at the great results and return of their rug’s vibrant colors.
