Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care here and I wanted to take some time today and talk about a question that we get asked fairly frequently: Can my area rug be done in time by a certain deadline?
YES! …Depending on what your rug needs.
It’s not as simple as a yes or no answer. You know the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day?” That applies to area rug cleaning as well! Some folks think they can drop their rug off with us and we can get it cleaned and ready for them by the next day. But that just isn’t the case!
There are a LOT of steps that go into the proper care of your Persian, Oriental, and even synthetic rug! At Arizona Oriental, we try our hardest to accommodate the needs of our clients and any deadlines they may have. However, there are some things you just can’t rush through when it comes to a good, proper rug cleaning.
Rugs with unstable dyes, for instance, need to be handled carefully and have an additional step than the usual cleaning to help stabilize these dyes. Making sure the colors in your rug do not need additional treatments to prevent dye migration is a very important step in the process. There are some rugs with lightly unstable dyes that are still able to be rushed. Others have dyes that are so unstable that we simply cannot rush their cleaning.
We always advise our clients to try and give us as much time as possible to care for their area rugs. However, we also understand that life has a way of happening and time loves getting away from us.
