Ruthie here with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care and today I wanted to address something that quite a few people seem to have a misconception about - dry cleaning area rugs!
I think it’s pretty obvious by now that we here at Arizona Oriental use a wet cleaning washing process with cleaning solutions specially formulated for use on area rugs. After all, wet cleaning rugs is the best way to remove soils from area rugs. However, there are some things that should not have any water added to them - jute rugs are something that come to mind right now. If it really is a case where the rug cannot be cleaned with our normal washing method, we do typically have other dry options available.
KEEP IN MIND - dry cleaning area rugs will not have the same effectiveness
as if we were to clean them with our wet washing methods.
If this is truly something that you are concerned with when it comes to your area rugs, we are more than happy to discuss this with you further when you call or bring your rug in.
In fact, a lot of manufacturers place labels on their products claiming that it needs to only be dry cleaned because the manufacturer doesn’t want to have any liability issues. Each rug needs to be cleaned differently, but there are only a very few of them that ACTUALLY require dry cleaning methods only.
